Pastor JP Brown

Pastor JP Brown

JP is a co-pastor at Dojo Church and serves as head of the leadership team.  With a gifting and passion for speaking and communication, he enjoys his opportunity to teach at Dojo Church on a regular basis.  Having practiced karate for almost 25 years  and having taught the art in some capacity for the last 15, JP is also involved in a karate-related missional community where he consciously works to build relationships and share the love of Christ with people in the community that may be averse to attending church gatherings for one reason or another.   JP graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in Biochemistry, and holds a full-time position as an Account Manager for a company that specializes in the design and construction of systems and disposables that are utilized in liquid pharmaceutical manufacturing.  JP is unbelievably appreciative to God for his wife (Jessica) and children (Chloe and Isabella) and feels incredibly fortunate for the opportunity they have to serve the Lord as a family unit in the way that He is currently directing.

Pastor Douglas Stanton

Pastor Douglas Stanton

Doug serves as DOJO Church’s Worship Pastor, which involves planning and facilitating Sunday Celebration services as well as providing leadership to the talented volunteer worship arts team God has assembled to serve at the DOJO.  His love for music began as a young child being brought up in church choirs as well as formal piano lessons in his younger years.  Doug was heavily involved in his university’s music programs in his college days and as an adult involved in community theater and served as a musician/vocalist and leader on numerous worship teams for all of his adult life.  When not serving at the DOJO, Doug is a full time Nurse Practitioner and enjoys hanging out with his two adult “kids”, Melode and Mitchell, who both also have a passion for music.  Fall is his time of year when college football is in season pulling for his two schools Clemson University’s Tigers and ECU’s Pirates!  Doug’s true passion is found in in John 4:23-24, leading the church to cultivate a lifestyle of worship which is genuine and life changing.
